After a high-stakes (and very low-speed) interrogation of Old Willie washer, Ms. Dee Dee dryer, and Haggard Harry hamper, the sleuth catches the culprit red-handed: A pair of pants clinging to the socks to remember the fun and joy of Emma's bedtime dance.

It's a whimsical race against the clock, though with Cole Sloth in charge, the "race" is more of a crawl that ends with a solved mystery and a sleepy detective.
